Kicking for Peace
Kicking for Peace
As a founding member of “The Network” a multi cultural organization made up of 32 NGOs, the Women for Peace organization manage the transport and facilitation of Kicking for Peace tournaments where children from different communities get the chance to play with each other four times a year during the school holidays.
Each event involves eight different cultural communities which come together to play soccer and interact with each other. The events become a celebration of sport that unites different people through positive interaction illustrating the value and joy experienced by communities meeting though sport.
Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is a patron of the Kicking for Peace programme.

Kicking for Peace tournament hosted in September 2009 with 280 boys and girls
