Fly the Flag Campaign
Fly the Flag Campaign
The 2010 National Communication Partnership (NCP) launched the “Fly the Flag for Football” campaign in 2009 urging South Africans to fly their national flag proudly at sporting events.
The national campaign is aimed at building public excitement, awareness and support leading up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. Under this banner, thousands of South African flags have been distributed at various awareness events and activations.
Recently, the Provincial Government of the Western Cape further endorsed the campaign by distributing South African flags at two of the many celebrations that took place in and around Cape Town on 100 days to go before kick-off.
