The Last Fan Standing
The Last Fan Standing
The Last Fan Standing is a competition being run by one of South Africa’s biggest cellular phone service providers and 2010 FIFA World Cup sponsor: MTN. Entrants were asked to submit their names and stand a chance of being the ‘ultimate fan’.
The winner, 29-year old Thulani Ngcobo, will experience 38 live games at the 2010 FIFA World Cup with all expenses paid. This includes travelling to all nine host cities and experiencing all ten stadiums. As part of the competition, Thulani also has a chance to have his name entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most matches attended by one individual at a FIFA World Cup - to recognise the record Ngcobo must attend at least 20 games.
